Atlanta Voice Teacher Bio
Hi! My name is Sarah Ellena Hogrefe. I’m a singer and voice teacher.
Your voice can be like mine: joyful, confident, clear, beautiful, and free! (Click on the link o listen to a recent recording.)
How? Take voice lessons with me.
I used to be self-conscious, judgmental, and negative about my singing. I focused on the technical aspects of voice and musicianship. I ignored my body and its sensory input.
Yet I know the precise steps it took for me to get where I am with my voice right now, so I can teach you to apply the principles and practices that will help you most in your own singing.
I teach you strategies to express your best self in high-pressure situations like auditions and performances since I’ve given over sixty solo recital, opera, and concert performances.
My practice strategies are straightforward and effective because I’ve spent tens of thousands of hours in the practice room and in rehearsals honing my craft. I give you what works.
My formal education is another aspect of what I offer in your voice lessons, as I have extensive training in music, music theory, sight-reading, languages, style, voice, and the art of singing.
- Doctor of Musical Arts Degree in Voice Performance and Pedagogy from Southern Miss
- Master of Music degree in Voice Performance from the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music
- Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance from Southern Miss
- Bachelor of Arts in German
Teaching thousands of voice lessons to people like you has given me a deep understanding of the art of singing and effective communication strategies to suit each individual.
I invite you to begin your vocal transformation now!
